This course will introduce the student to the wide range of instrumental methods used in chemical analysis as they are applied to modern, analytical chemistry. The course involves an introduction to statistical evaluation of chemical data, electrochemical methods, optical spectroscopic methods, mass spectrometry and chromatography. A lecture course to introduce the student to the theory, advantages, disadvantages, limitations, and power of contemporary chemical instrumentation.
